Gas Service & Repair Engineer Required – Permanent PAYE

Basic Salary £43,000 - £45,000 DOE | Call-Out Required Every 1 in 4 Weeks | SY/LD Postcodes

R9 Recruitment have partnered exclusively with a well-established social housing specialist in heating, plumbing, and renewable energy to recruit a permanent Gas Service & Repair Engineer. This is a secure, long-term role with a business that is seeing significant growth within the renewable heating sector.

We are particularly interested in speaking with engineers who have experience in the service, maintenance, and fault-finding of renewable heating systems, especially Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHPs).

Package & Benefits

  • Up to £45,000 basic salary

Key Duties

  • Servicing and maintaining mixture of Domestic boilers/ ASHP systems
  • Diagnosing and resolving heating breakdowns
  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance works
  • Service, maintenance, and fault-finding on Air Source Heat Pump systems
  • Working across both gas and renewable heating systems
  • Typically, 5- 7 jobs per day

Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in domestic gas servicing and breakdowns
  • Previous experience servicing, maintaining, or fault-finding Air Source Heat Pumps is highly desirable
  • ACS qualifications including Cookers & Fires
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • A keen interest in low-carbon and renewable heating technologies

Important

This role is focused on Service & Repair. Candidates with renewable service, maintenance, and diagnostic experience, particularly on ASHP systems, will be highly regarded.
