Gatehouse operative (nights) in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire

About the role

We're looking for reliable Gate Operatives to join our team at a busy transport depot. You'll be the first point of contact for everyone arriving at the site, making sure only authorised vehicles, drivers and visitors come in and out.

Key responsibilities

• Controlling access at the depot gate for vehicles, visitors and drivers
• Checking driver documents, CMRs and delivery paperwork
• Carrying out general yard duties and housekeeping
• Keeping accurate records and passing on any issues to the team

What we're looking for

• Reliable and punctual, with a strong record of turning up on time
• Good attention to detail
• Comfortable with paperwork and dealing with people politely and confidently
• Able to work independently, including on night shifts
• Previous gatehouse, security or logistics experience is welcome but not essential

Available shifts

We have three vacancies on fixed weekly patterns, so you'll always know your schedule in advance.

Lates, 42 hours per week

• Monday to Thursday: 16:00-00:00
• Friday and Saturday: off
• Sunday: 07:00-17:00

Nights/Lates, 40 hours per week

• Monday and Tuesday: 23:00-07:00
• Wednesday and Thursday: off
• Friday to Sunday: 16:00-00:00

Nights, 40 hours per week

• Monday and Tuesday: off
• Wednesday to Sunday: 23:00-07:00
