Gateman / Labourer

Gateman / Labourer Required – Aintree, Liverpool (L9) 

Location: Aintree, Liverpool (L9)
Start Date: Monday 10th August
Rate: £16p/h
Hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm (30-minute lunch)
Duration: 8–9 months for the right candidate

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Gateman / Labourer to join a major construction project at Aintree, where a new dialysis unit is being built.

This is a varied role that will suit someone who is happy working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is confident communicating with site teams, delivery drivers, and members of the public.

Duties will include:

• Controlling access to the construction site.
• Recording deliveries, vehicle registrations, visitor details, and collections.
• Directing delivery vehicles safely around the site.
• Opening and closing access gates as required.
• Assisting with traffic management (Traffic Marshal experience is advantageous).
• Helping with general labouring duties when required, including wheel washing vehicles and moving fencing or barriers to maintain site safety.
• Supporting the site team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Friendly, approachable, and confident communicating with others.
• Physically fit and happy walking between different site entrances throughout the day.
• Reliable and willing to get involved wherever needed.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to complete paperwork accurately and keep clear records.
• Previous Gateman, Labourer, or Traffic Marshal experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• CSCS Card.
• Traffic Marshal/Banksman ticket preferred but not essential.
• Previous construction site experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
