Gateman – Long-Term Opportunity in Coleford

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Gateman to join a busy construction site in Coleford. This is an excellent opportunity to secure over 12 months of continuous work on a well-established construction project.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining site security, controlling access, and ensuring the safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians throughout the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Control access to and from the construction site.
• Greet visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers in a professional manner.
• Check identification and ensure all site procedures are followed.
• Direct deliveries and site traffic safely and efficiently.
• Monitor vehicle movements to maintain a safe working environment.
• Keep accurate records of visitors and deliveries.
• Maintain the security of the site entrance at all times.
• Carry out general housekeeping around the gate area.
• Support the Site Manager with additional site duties when required.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations are followed.

Requirements

Essential

• Valid CSCS Card.
• Previous experience working as a Gateman, Traffic Marshal, or on a construction site.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
• Strong awareness of health and safety.

Desirable

• Traffic Marshal/Banksman qualification.
• Previous experience on large construction sites.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
