As a General Cover Teacher, you will deliver high-quality learning across the primary age range, ensuring continuity of education while class teachers are absent or undertaking leadership, planning, and professional development responsibilities.

Whether covering a single day or a longer period, you will play an important role in maintaining a calm, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their best.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

• Teach planned lessons across the primary curriculum from Reception to Year 6.
• Foster a positive classroom culture built on high expectations and mutual respect.
• Inspire pupils through engaging and well-paced teaching.
• Respond effectively to the varying needs of learners, ensuring all children are supported and challenged.
• Assess learning during lessons and provide clear feedback to class teachers.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote the school's values and high standards.

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Is an excellent classroom practitioner with strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
• Can confidently teach across a range of year groups.
• Has excellent behaviour management skills and builds positive relationships with pupils.
• Is organised, flexible, and able to adapt quickly to different classroom environments.
• Is committed to providing an inclusive education where every child can flourish.
• Enjoys working as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
