• Delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Providing general classroom cover across a variety of secondary school subjects

• Following pre-prepared lesson plans and adapting teaching approaches where required

• Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive learning environment

• Supporting students of varying abilities and learning needs

• Encouraging students to remain focused, motivated and engaged throughout lessons

• Assessing student understanding and providing constructive feedback where appropriate

• Maintaining high expectations for student behaviour, participation and achievement

• Following school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behaviour management

• Working cooperatively with teaching staff, support teams and senior leaders

• Adapting confidently to different school settings, year groups and classroom environments

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

• Previous experience teaching within a secondary school setting

• Confident delivering lessons across a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4

• Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Flexible, adaptable and confident working in different school environments

• A conscientious and professional approach to teaching

• Able to establish clear expectations and build positive relationships with students

• Confident following lesson plans and maintaining continuity of learning

• A proactive and reliable individual who can work independently

• A strong relationship builder who can establish positive connections with students and school staff

• Passionate about education and supporting young people to achieve their potential

• Experienced teachers, ECTs and teachers returning to the profession are encouraged to apply
