General foreman

Location: Heathrow Airport, West London
Rate: Competitive (Inside IR35)

We are currently seeking an experienced General Foreman to join a major civil engineering project at Heathrow Airport, working with a leading Tier 1 contractor on long-term airside infrastructure works.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of one of the UK's most high-profile infrastructure programmes, delivering complex civil engineering works in a fast-paced airport environment.

• Oversee and coordinate night shift construction activities.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, and plant operations.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.
• Monitor quality standards and ensure compliance with ITPs and company procedures.
• Conduct briefings, toolbox talks, and daily shift handovers.
• Liaise with Engineers, Site Managers, and Project Management teams.
• Ensure RAMS are implemented and followed at all times.
• Drive productivity while maintaining the highest safety standards.

• Proven experience as a General Foreman on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Background in works such as earthworks, drainage, utilities, pavement construction, reinforced concrete, highways, or airside projects.
• Strong leadership and workforce management skills.
• Good understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
• SSSTS or SMSTS preferred.
• Heathrow clearance or previous airport experience is advantageous but not essential.
