Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum DOE + £5500 car allowance

Role Overview:
 
My client is looking to appoint an experienced General Foreman to support the delivery of a major rail bridge replacement project in Havant.
 
The project involves the demolition of an existing pedestrian footbridge and construction of a new steel structure, including piling, reinforced concrete foundations, civils works, lighting, surfacing and associated infrastructure improvements.
 
Working closely with the Site Agent and wider project team, the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising site operations, coordinating workforce activities and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
 
This role would suit an experienced General Foreman with a strong background in rail, structures or heavy civils who is looking for a stable permanent position working on a local scheme.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·Supervise daily site activities and coordinate site operatives and subcontractors
·Lead site briefings and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
·Support the delivery of demolition, groundworks, piling, concrete and structural works
·Monitor progress and ensure works are completed in line with programme requirements
·Maintain quality standards and ensure works are delivered to specification
·Work closely with the Site Agent and project team to resolve issues and drive delivery
·Ensure site teams follow approved RAMS, permits and safe systems of work
 
Essential requirements:
·Previous experience working as a General Foreman within rail bridges, structures or heavy civils projects
·Valid SMSTS certification
·Valid PTS certification
·Experience supervising site teams and subcontractors
·Candidates local to the Portsmouth area are highly desirable
