We're looking for a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our busy joinery workshop. This role is ideal for someone who has experience working with timber and hand tools and is comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the manufacture of timber windows and doors.
- Using nail guns and a variety of hand tools safely and effectively.
- Moving timber and materials around the workshop.
- Supporting Bench Joiners with assembly and production tasks.
- Keeping the workshop clean, tidy and organised.
- Always following health and safety procedures.
- Previous experience in a general labouring or woodworking environment.
- Experience using nail guns and hand tools.
- Manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties.
- Reliable, punctual and a good team player.
- Willing to learn and work in a busy production environment.
- Workshop-based role working with timber.
- Part of a friendly team of 8 people.
- The workshop can become dusty due to wood cutting and machining, so candidates must be comfortable working in these conditions and wearing the appropriate PPE.
- 30-minute paid lunch break.
- Paid morning break (taken when workload allows).
