Shift Pattern: Monday- Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm 37.5 hours per week
Pay: Band 3 - £14.05

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Optimising the quality and condition of hospital setting to ensure the building is kept in a safe condition.
- Completing regular ventilation checks and essential maintenance such as filter changes etc.
- Minor building works – plastering, painting, and decorating, building repairs.
- Basic joinery work – change locks, repair panels, boarding up, etc.
- Basic plumbing – isolate a water supply off only, unblocking drains.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks – daily lift inspections, meter readings, plantroom cleaning, more but a brief of the required.
- Utilise knowledge and understanding of basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing and decorating to carry out routine planned and reactive maintenance work.
- Supporting member of the engineering & mechanical team, in ensuring the day-to-day efficient and safe working of all engineering plant on site.
- Comply in all aspects with the department’s Health and Safety policies.
- Undertake training as necessary and in particular.
Personal Specifications
- Happy working in a very physical role which includes heavy lifting.
- Maintenance experience (with electrical bias) advantageous.
- Comfortable using hand tools.
- Happy working in all weathers.
- Reliable and committed.
