An exciting opportunity for an ambitious Sales or Commercial Director ready to take the next step into General Management!

Our client is a successful, established B2B business with an excellent reputation, an exciting portfolio of products and strong foundations. As part of its continued development, the business is now looking to appoint a commercially driven General Manager to take day-to-day leadership responsibility across Sales and Operations.

The Opportunity

• The General Manager will take day-to-day leadership responsibility across Sales and Operations, reporting to the Group MD and sitting on the Executive Team.
• The role will have a strong commercial focus, providing clear direction, leadership and accountability to the Sales team, driving growth opportunities and improving business efficiencies.
• Provide leadership oversight to the Operations function globally, to ensure efficient and effective delivery across UK and overseas operations.
• Build on the business’s success, improve operational and commercial efficiencies in order to support its next stage of growth.
• An ideal opportunity for an experienced Sales Director or Commercial Director ready to step into a broader General Manager role.

About You

• Proven senior-level experience within Sales, Commercial or Business Development.
• Technical B2B sales experience is essential, with the ability to understand technical products, specifications and drawings.
• Strong overall business and financial understanding - previous P&L responsibility is not essential.
• A strong people leader with the confidence to lead, develop and motivate an established team.
• Commercially astute, decisive and able to make sound decisions quickly. Hungry, ambitious and ready to make the transition into a broader General Manager position.
