An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within an industry leading manufacturing organisation based in Stevenston. This is initially a temporary ongoing role with potential opportunity to go permanent for the right candidates as roles arise.

Purpose of the Role

To undertake the assembly of small components in a safe, efficient, and quality-focused manner while developing the skills and knowledge required to progress into a fully competent Operator position.

This is a day shift role Monday -Thursday 7am - 4.45pm. However, overtime on an attractive hourly rate may be offered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble small components and sub-assemblies in line with work instructions and production schedules.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality requirements at all times.
  • Carry out visual inspections to ensure components meet quality standards.
  • Identify and report defects, shortages, equipment issues, or other production concerns.
  • Maintain accurate production records where required.
  • Work safely and comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Keep workstations clean, organised, and maintain standards.
  • Meet productivity targets while maintaining high levels of quality and accuracy.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Good attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle small components.
  • Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude towards work.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to quality and safe working practices.

Desirable

  • Previous manufacturing or assembly experience.
  • Experience working in a production environment.
  • Basic understanding of quality standards and inspection processes.
