Ceto Talent is recruiting for a Mechanical Operations Assistant to join a busy engineering team supporting maintenance, assembly and operational activities within a highly technical environment.

This is a practical, hands-on role working alongside Mechanical Technicians and Fitters, supporting the upkeep, improvement and installation of specialist equipment.

About You

• Experience within a mechanical, electrical, industrial or engineering environment.
• Awareness of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Experience working to Method Statements or Safe Systems of Work.
• Comfortable carrying out hands-on engineering and maintenance support activities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent IT skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting Mechanical Technicians and Fitters with maintenance and modification activities.
• Assisting with assembly, installation and engineering support tasks.
• Moving, storing and managing materials and equipment safely.
• Maintaining clean, organised and safe work areas.
• Carrying out routine checks on tools and equipment.
• Supporting testing, maintenance and documentation activities.
• Liaising with other teams to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Following site safety procedures and reporting hazards.

Desirable

• Experience within engineering workshops, industrial facilities or construction environments.
• Exposure to maintenance, assembly or mechanical fitting activities.
• Experience handling engineering materials, tools and equipment.
