Are you a General Operative, Construction Operative or similar looking for a full-time, stable role where you can develop your skills, receive training and work on major water and civil engineering projects?

On offer is the opportunity to join an established contractor that has been operating for over 25 years, with an ambition to become a market leader within the water and civil engineering sectors. The company offers long-term stability, ongoing training and opportunities for employees to develop their skills and progress within the business.

In this hands-on role, you will support the site team with deep excavation and civil works, assisting with trench boxes, pipe bedding and general excavation activities. You will also be involved in erecting site fencing, carrying out daily plant checks and working safely in line with RAMS and site procedures.

This role would suit a General Operative or Construction Operative with previous experience on civils, utilities or construction sites who is looking for a long-term opportunity with overtime, two annual bonuses, door-to-door pay, training and progression. A Thames Water Passport is preferred but not essential.

The Role:

• Assisting with deep excavation, trench boxes, pipe bedding and general civil works
• Supporting the site team with fencing, materials and day-to-day site activities
• Carrying out daily plant checks and working safely around excavations and machinery
• Following RAMS, site procedures and instructions from the ganger or supervisor

The Person:

• Previous experience as a General Operative, Construction Operative, Groundworker or similar
• Experience working on civils, utilities, excavation or construction projects
• Good understanding of site safety and able to follow RAMS and instructions
• Commutable to Swindon
