General Operative

Job Title: General Operative 
Location: Skelmersdale, WN8 8EB
Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00-14:00 or 14:00-22:00 or 22:00-6:00
Pay: £12.71 - £14.71 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary ongoing

Frontline Recruitment are seeking reliable and motivated General Operatives to join our client’s team in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will support daily operations including packing, quality checking, machine assistance, and general production duties while maintaining high standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities 

• Packing printed products accurately and efficiently to customer specifications 
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet company and client standards 
• Supporting machine operators with setup, loading materials, and production runs 
• Monitoring production output and reporting faults or inconsistencies 
• Labelling, sorting, and preparing goods for dispatch 
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment 
• Following health and safety procedures at all times 
• Assisting with general warehouse and operational duties as required 
• Working to production targets and deadlines within a busy environment 
• Completing basic production paperwork and records where necessary

Requirements

• Previous experience in a print, production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment is desirable but not essential 
• Good attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues 
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment 
• Strong teamwork and communication skills 
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude 
• Willingness to learn and support different areas of production 
• Ability to stand for long periods and undertake manual handling duties
• Basic communication and problem-solving skills
