Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced General Warehouse Operative to join our Great Bear operation in Lutterworth, supporting a busy ambient warehouse operation. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in keeping stock moving safely, accurately and efficiently while working as part of a supportive and dependable team.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 12-hour day shifts on a 4 on, 4 off pattern, including weekends, from 06:00 - 18:00

Salary - £26,942.46

What you'll be doing:

  • Assembling customer orders from the order profile
  • Using radio data terminal (RDT)
  • Ensuring the correct amount of product is picked and built correctly and safely onto pallets in line with warehouse procedures
  • Stretching, wrapping, completing order and presenting to marshalling area as appropriate
  • Generating performance in line with KPIs as required
  • Ensuring client specific order requirements are met as instructed
  • Ensuring that all equipment is used in line with training
  • Adhering to clean as you go policy with a special focus on the company’s recycling and waste management program
  • Ensuring that all Personal Protective Equipment is used, worn and maintained at all times and that all beaches in Health, Safety and Welfare are reported immediately to the site management team
  • Undertaking further Warehouse Operative duties of marshalling, cleaning, loading, goods-in, pallet checking, as requested by supervisor/ manager

 

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

  • PPT truck experience is essential for this role, with experience working on PPT or Bendi, licence is required
  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly within picking, loading, inbound or stock movement.
  • A good level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A strong focus on health and safety.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Reliable timekeeping and a positive, flexible approach to shift work.
