About the Role
As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that bring physical and human geography to life. You will be responsible for planning and teaching high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the wider school curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Teach a range of topics including ecosystems, urbanisation, climate change, and tectonic processes
- Assess, track, and report on student progress
- Support students in achieving their academic potential at GCSE
- Contribute to field trips and extracurricular geography activities
- Participate in departmental planning and whole-school initiatives
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- A degree in Geography or a related subject
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for geography education
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and manage classroom learning effectively
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- Willingness to contribute to school life beyond the classroom
