About the Role

As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that bring physical and human geography to life. You will be responsible for planning and teaching high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the wider school curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach a range of topics including ecosystems, urbanisation, climate change, and tectonic processes
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress
  • Support students in achieving their academic potential at GCSE
  • Contribute to field trips and extracurricular geography activities
  • Participate in departmental planning and whole-school initiatives

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Geography or a related subject
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for geography education
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and manage classroom learning effectively
  • Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
  • Willingness to contribute to school life beyond the classroom
