We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive Good Ofsted-rated secondary school in Perry Barr, Birmingham, seeking an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join their Humanities department from September 2026.

The Role

As a Geography Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Geography lessons
• Creating engaging and challenging learning experiences
• Assessing, monitoring and tracking student progress
• Supporting students to achieve their full academic potential
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management
• Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to raise achievement across the school

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Have experience teaching Geography within a secondary school setting
• Possess excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Geography
• Be committed to delivering engaging and effective lessons
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
• Have high expectations for student achievement and behaviour
• Be a positive and proactive team player

Ideally, the school is looking for an experienced Teacher; however, applications from ECTs are warmly welcomed and fully encouraged.
