Are you an analytical Geospatial Technical Specialist looking to advance GPR processing standards and shape technical excellence within an industry-leading surveying environment?

A Leading Specialist is expanding its operations and seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Technical Specialist to cover national utility operations. This is a pivotal role offering the chance to spearhead advanced IDS SRS radar processing, establish rigorous QA protocols, and coach developing surveyors across major infrastructure projects.

The Opportunity:

You will play a vital role in connecting field delivery, high-precision post-processing, and quality compliance across the utility division. Your day-to-day remit involves:

  • Undertaking advanced post-processing and detailed 3D interpretation of multi-channel GPR data using IDS IQmaps to required company and project standards.

  • Executing comprehensive QA sign-offs on utility survey drawings, models, and associated deliverables prior to issue.

  • Delivering technical coaching, onboarding, and practical field-to-office training for new and developing utility surveyors.

  • Leading software trials, workflow developments, and technical procedures on the IDS GPR processing suite and the IDS SRS multichannel array system.

  • Collaborating with sales and operations teams to review enquiries, determine technical survey scope, and assist with quotation preparation.

    The Package:

  • £35,000 – £40,000 basic salary + company vehicle, fuel card, and full PPE/equipment provision.

  • Structured hybrid working model (minimum 3 days office-based / up to 2 days remote).

Technical Essentials:

To be successful, you must demonstrate high-level technical proficiency:

  • Mandatory: Verified competency in utility surveying methodologies, subsurface mapping, and mandatory advanced post-processing expertise using IDS IQmaps.

  • Compliance/Systems: In-depth proficiency with IDS GPR processing suites (IQmaps / GRED HD), IDS SRS multichannel array systems, and utility deliverable QA frameworks.

  • Experience: Proven track record in utility survey QA/QC checking, resolving technical non-conformances, and coaching field personnel.

  • Mobility: Full UK Driving Licence with the flexibility to undertake operational field visits, audits, and equipment trials (approx. 20% operational remit).
