Location: Derby
Salary: £32,000 - £40,000
Are you a Geotechnical Engineer looking to join a friendly, growing consultancy where you'll gain hands-on experience across a variety of projects while developing your technical expertise?
A growing multi-disciplinary consultancy is looking to expand its Derby team with the addition of a Geotechnical Engineer. You'll work on a range of predominantly residential developments while gaining exposure to geotechnical design and geoenvironmental projects. The Role
- Planning and supervising ground investigations.
- Logging soil and rock to current industry standards.
- Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
- Undertaking geotechnical assessments and foundation recommendations.
- Supporting the delivery of residential development projects.
- Assisting with slope stability, retaining wall and foundation design.
- Developing geoenvironmental knowledge, including contaminated land assessments and remediation support.
- Liaising with clients, contractors and project teams throughout project delivery.
Requirements
- Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous consultancy experience within geotechnical engineering or ground investigation.
- Good understanding of geotechnical principles.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to continue learning.
