Overview
We’re looking for a commercially sharp, new business-focused sales professional to open up and win new strategic accounts on a global level within the food packaging space.
This is very much a “hunter” role — identifying the right multinational targets, getting in front of senior stakeholders, and turning opportunities into long-term, high-value partnerships.
You’ll be dealing with large food manufacturers, brand owners and retailers, selling a solution rather than a product, and working across multiple regions.
What you’ll be doing
New business / account acquisition
- Identify and win new global accounts across food manufacturing, FMCG and food processing.
- Build a strong pipeline of high-value, strategic opportunities
- Lead the full sales cycle from first contact through to contract award
- Focus on long-term value, not short-term wins
Engaging at a senior level
- Get in front of decision-makers across procurement, operations, supply chain and sustainability.
- Manage complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders across different geographies.
- Handle negotiations around large, multi-site agreements Solution-led selling.
- Work closely with internal teams (technical, operations, innovation) to build tailored proposals.
- Sell on value — sustainability, efficiency, supply chain improvements, not just price.
- Put together compelling, commercially sound business cases.
Global account development
- Help shape how accounts are rolled out globally once won.
- Ensure a smooth handover into key account / regional teams.
- Stay close enough to support growth and expansion opportunities.
Market insight
- Keep on top of trends within food packaging, sustainability and regulation.
- Understand what competitors are doing and where the next opportunities sit.
- Feed insight back into the wider commercial and product teams.
What we’re looking for
- Strong track record of winning new business at a strategic level.
- Experience selling into food packaging, FMCG or a related supply chain.
- Comfortable with long, complex, consultative sales cycles.
- Credible when dealing with senior stakeholders in large organisations.
- Commercially astute with solid negotiation skills.
- Used to working in a global or multi-region environment.
