The Opportunity:
The Global Custody Management Custodian Program Manager works in the office and is directly responsible for the onboarding and successful management of PCG custody relationships in an entire region/country. This role defines strategic custody priorities, ensures operational excellence, and acts as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external custodians. The Program Manager is accountable for service quality, relationship health, and alignment of custodial initiatives with firmwide objectives, balancing day-to-day execution with long-term strategic planning.
The Day-to-Day:
- Identifies strategic opportunities to enhance custodian performance, improve processes, and support business expansion through proactive planning and negotiation.
- Serves as the primary relationship lead for assigned custodians, accountable for partnership success, service quality, and value delivery across an entire region
- Maintain and strengthen custodian relationships to ensure high-quality service and mutual value for end clients
- Manage the program in their region to ensure the elements are completely and efficiently meeting the business requirements, and ensuring compliance with SLAs and KPIs
- Operates in a cross-functional capacity, influencing a wide range of stakeholders and initiatives that impact firm operations, client servicing, and business growth across multiple regions
- Identifies and drives enhancements to GCM’s processes for evaluating custodian performance and service to improves GCM’s due diligence and the service levels at custodians
- Responsible for fee negotiations, contract reviews, enhancing performance reports, business expansion initiatives, etc. for assigned relationships with support from GCM VPs
- Responsible for reporting and other deliverables that impact an entire country or region
- Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
- Support business growth through a variety of custody relationship management work, including integration of custodians and management of all phases from planning to deployment
- Evaluates and makes recommendations to management regarding solutions to resolve business problems, including escalation management
- Assesses requirements to deliver program components and sub-components, which may include implementation of solution, staffing of the projects, timelines, budgets related to their program etc.
- Leads cross-functional coordination IT, Finance, Third Party Vendors and Business Users to deliver custodial capabilities that align with business objectives related to the program
- Proactively manages changes in program scope, identify potential crises and program dependencies, and devise contingency plans
- Creates and manages vision and scoping documentation, program schedule, project and vendor management checklists for custodian-related processes
- Coaches, mentors, motivates and supervises program team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
- Works onsite, under direct supervision, in a team-based and open office environment.
Additional responsibilities may include:
- GCM Custodian Program Manager: Responsible for overseeing the onboarding and ongoing management of PCG custodians within their assigned regions; researches and identifies custodian prospects that meet Fisher’s requirements; provides oversight of custody relationships, ensuring custodians are providing the appropriate level of service to PCG clients and the firm; oversees custodian service level agreements, provides feedback, and negotiates services/costs; oversees the development of operational processes between the custodian and Fisher; defines program priorities within their region in alignment with strategic objectives and partners with custodians to integrate priorities into their roadmaps and secure necessary approvals.
Your Qualifications:
- University Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 3 years of experience in specific field preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, internal clients, and other departments
- Reacts to program adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Highly-developed analytical ability
- Able to interface with different departments within the company
- Strong familiarity with change management and creative independent problem solving
