Description

As Global Indirect Procurement Manager, you will take ownership of a broad indirect procurement portfolio, leading category strategy, supplier management and procurement governance on a global scale. You will be a generalist procurement professional who have deal with a broad range of spends ( indirect category procurement)

Working closely with Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Compliance and Operational leadership teams, you will drive standardisation, demand management and procurement best practice across multiple regions and business units.

This role combines strategic thinking, commercial leadership and people management, making it ideal for a procurement professional looking to make a significant impact within a growing international business.

Key Responsibilities

Category Strategy & Procurement Leadership

  • Develop and implement global indirect category strategies aligned to business objectives.
  • Create multi-year sourcing roadmaps and procurement plans.
  • Drive category standardisation and supplier optimisation initiatives.
  • Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for commercial advantage.
  • Deliver procurement strategies that balance cost, risk, quality and service.

Strategic Sourcing & Contract Management

  • Lead complex sourcing programmes, tenders and contract negotiations.
  • Establish global framework agreements, service level agreements and supplier governance structures.
  • Drive supplier consolidation and preferred supplier programmes.
  • Ensure robust contract lifecycle management across all categories.
  • Support major business initiatives with commercial insight and procurement expertise.

Cost Optimisation & Value Creation

  • Deliver year-on-year savings and value creation opportunities.
  • Drive demand management and consumption controls across business functions.
  • Improve working capital performance and commercial efficiency.
  • Utilise spend analytics and market intelligence to support decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and procurement transformation.

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Develop strategic relationships with key global suppliers.
  • Establish supplier performance management frameworks.
  • Drive innovation, service improvements and continuous value delivery.
  • Manage supplier risk and business continuity planning.
  • Lead executive-level supplier reviews and commercial governance activities.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Indirect Category Managers.
  • Set objectives, priorities and performance expectations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Support capability development and succession planning.
  • Promote procurement best practice across the wider organisation.

Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, HR, IT, Legal, Compliance and Operations.
  • Influence business decisions through strong commercial leadership.
  • Build trusted relationships across multiple regions and functions.
  • Support governance and compliance initiatives.
  • Drive alignment across global procurement activities.

Profile

We're looking for a Global Indirect Procurement Leader who combines strong commercial capability with global sourcing experience and exceptional stakeholder management skills.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience within Indirect Procurement and Category Management.
  • Proven success managing multiple indirect spend categories.
  • Experience developing and implementing global procurement strategies.
  • Strong sourcing, negotiation and contract management expertise.
  • Experience leading supplier performance and governance programmes.
  • People management experience, including coaching and developing procurement teams.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Experience operating within a complex, multi-site or international environment.
  • Manufacturing, industrial or engineering sector experience.
  • Experience managing global supplier frameworks.
  • Procurement transformation or continuous improvement experience.
  • Knowledge of procurement systems, analytics and reporting tools.
  • Ideally CIPS qualification or equivalent professional accreditation.
