Are you an experienced manufacturing engineer with strong knowledge of heavy castings if so, this opportunity could be for you. My client specialises in the manufacture and supply of heavy castings, finished machined castings, cast manganese/high chrome wear parts, ground engaging components and structural casting parts and components to OEM’s. Their ideal candidate will have both a manufacturing engineering background and relevant castings knowledge.

Global Technical Engineer role:
The successful Technical Engineer will report to the Technical Director and responsible for my clients initiatives, identifying and driving continuous improvements in manufacturing process capability, capacity and continually supporting product quality. Ther will be some travel to Asia to visit and implement the identified processes at each manufacturing site.
•    Ensure all inspection reports and relevant tests have been carried out and recorded before components and assemblies are dispatched from suppliers.
•    Work with the customer to ensure any issues are dealt with swiftly & efficiently.
•    Support and development of the Manufacturing Team based in China.
•    Develop and adopt ISO 9001 processes into the China based operation with the goal of achieving certification.
•    Support Product risk and FMEAs.
•    Make sure technical documents are complete and that all requirements for each client are met or exceeded.
•    Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes by; applying knowledge of product design, casting, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors.
•    Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; inspecting finished- product and process capabilities; 
•    Establish standards for manufacture which can be repeated at other factory’s
•    Confirm manufacturing processes.
•    Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
•    Complete development projects by training and guiding technicians.
•    Assist factories to develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.

Global Technical Engineer requirement:
•    Educated to a relevant Engineering qualification 
•    Proven Engineering experience within product development and manufacturing
•    Good knowledge of heavy castings.
•    Good knowledge of machining processes.
•    Experience in fabrications and manufacturing processes.
•    CAD

Global Technical Engineer package:
