The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Goods-In admin to join a leading manufacturing organisation in Poole. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in PCB assembly, electronics manufacturing, or a production environment who is looking for a long-term role with the potential to become permanent.

Working as part of a busy production team, you will be responsible for PCB assembly, testing, material handling, and logistics activities, ensuring products are built to the highest quality standards and delivered on schedule.



Key Responsibilities



PCB Assembly & Manufacturing

  • Assemble and wire basic PCB assemblies using build documentation and work instructions.
  • Produce soldered and crimped joints to required quality standards.
  • Remove and replace through-hole components as required.
  • Carry out PCB fitting operations and simple PCB modifications.
  • Build basic mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies.
  • Operate flow solder and surface mount equipment.
  • Perform basic testing, first-line fault finding, and PROM programming.
  • Conduct self-inspection and quality checks throughout the build process.
  • Complete first-line maintenance on production machinery and equipment.


Logistics & Material Handling

  • Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and part numbers against delivery documentation.
  • Inspect deliveries for damage and report discrepancies.
  • Accurately record stock movements and transactions in company systems.
  • Store, pick, issue, and transport materials throughout the production facility.
  • Support stock control activities, inventory checks, and cycle counts.
  • Prepare and package products for shipment in line with customer and shipping requirements.
  • Ensure all relevant shipping documentation is completed and attached correctly.
  • Safely use material handling equipment and follow all site health and safety requirements.


About You



Essential Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, electronics assembly, or PCB environment.
  • Ability to follow technical drawings, build instructions, and process documentation.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Strong manual dexterity and practical assembly skills.
  • Basic computer literacy and experience recording production data.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.


Desirable

  • Experience operating SMT (Surface Mount Technology) machinery.
  • IPC-A-610 certification.
  • Knowledge of AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) equipment.
  • Experience using spray varnish or conformal coating equipment.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.
  • Forklift or material handling equipment experience.
