MTrec Technical is representing a well-established, forward-thinking manufacturing client in their search for an experienced Goods In Manager. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day operations of a busy warehouse within a specialist manufacturing environment.

The Job You Will Do:
- Lead Goods In, Yard and Returnable Equipment operations, taking responsibility for inbound logistics, inventory accuracy, stock control and team performance.
- Manage and develop operational teams, driving KPI performance, accountability and continuous improvement across safe, efficient and accurate warehouse operations.
- Oversee inbound stock integrity and inventory control, working with Stock Control, Procurement, Planning, Finance, Quality and Production teams to ensure materials and equipment are available to meet production demand while reducing excess stock, waste and working capital impact.
- Monitor stock levels, delivery schedules, days of cover and at-risk inventory, proactively identifying and reducing supply chain risks.
- Ensure accurate receipt, storage, movement and reporting of stock, maintaining strong controls across all inventory areas, including bulk raw materials, gases and third-party storage locations.
- Investigate stock discrepancies, losses, write-offs, downtime incidents and operational issues, completing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Manage supplier deliveries, traffic flow, third-party storage, returns, back-loads, recycling, waste streams and returnable equipment processes.
- Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to improve packaging, pallet formats, delivery performance and operational efficiency.
- Lead workforce planning, training and employee development, including performance and absence management, disciplinary processes, SOP reviews, risk assessments and cross-training programmes to build a skilled, flexible team.
- Maintain accurate stock reporting, audit readiness, year-end inventory processes and compliance with financial controls, while championing health and safety, food safety, quality, traceability, housekeeping, COSHH compliance and safe systems of work.
About you:
Minimum of three years’ warehouse leadership experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to improve performance and strengthen operational control.
Strong organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing inventory and maintaining stock accuracy.
Excellent understanding of warehouse health and safety.
IOSH Managing Safely certification (mandatory)
Strong understanding of reach truck, counterbalance and pallet truck operations.
Strong systems capability, including SAP, WMS, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
Confident communicator across all levels
