GOODS-IN SUPERVISOR

Location: Stokesley

Salary: £32,000 per annum, with flexibility up to £35,000 for the right person

Hours: 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility is essential as earlier starts, typically from around 7.30am, will sometimes be required when containers are due.

Due to the location and working hours, applicants must have their own transport.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Goods-In Supervisor to lead the day-to-day inbound warehouse operation.

This is a busy role that requires someone who is flexible and willing to work around the needs of the warehouse rather than being strictly governed by normal working hours.

You will be responsible for ensuring incoming deliveries are received, checked, recorded and stored accurately, while maintaining high standards of safety, organisation and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervising the daily goods-in operation and warehouse staff

• Checking incoming deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes

• Managing stock accuracy and inventory control

• Investigating discrepancies, damaged goods and receiving errors

• Coordinating unloading and storage of incoming goods

• Maintaining and optimising warehouse bin locations

• Carrying out cycle counts and stock audits

• Ensuring accurate recording of stock movements within the warehouse management system

• Maintaining high standards of health and safety and warehouse housekeeping

• Working closely with the Warehouse Manager

About You

  • You will have previous experience supervising a goods-in, warehouse or logistics team within a busy environment.
  • You should have strong leadership and organisational skills, good attention to detail and experience of stock control and inventory accuracy.
  • Experience using ERP/WMS systems is required, along with the ability to investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and receiving errors.
  • Experience managing a large number of SKU locations would be beneficial.
  • A Counterbalance or Reach Truck forklift licence would be desirable, although training can be provided.
  • You must be flexible regarding working hours when required and have your own transport.
