Goods Inwards Administrator

Location: Banbury
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Salary: £29,000 - £31,000 per annum 

We are currently recruiting for a Goods Inwards Administrator to join a busy and well-established manufacturing environment in Banbury.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual who enjoys working across different areas of a business and ensuring goods and deliveries are accurately processed.

The Role

Working as part of the logistics/operations function, you will be responsible for ensuring all incoming deliveries are checked, accurately recorded and processed, while investigating any discrepancies and liaising with relevant departments.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Checking incoming deliveries for quantity and quality and booking goods into the system.
  • Investigating discrepancies and following up where additional order approval or information is required.
  • Checking and processing delivery documentation.
  • Reviewing open orders and following up outstanding items.
  • Liaising with internal departments regarding deliveries and goods receipts.
  • Maintaining accurate and organised goods-in areas and records.
  • Using SAP/ERP/MES systems to complete relevant transactions.
  • Supporting quality, efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring goods are safely and correctly stored.
  • Reporting and escalating any issues or concerns.
  • Working closely with Finance, Logistics and other internal teams.

  • Confident communicating with people across different departments.
  • Analytical, proactive and able to solve problems effectively.
  • Comfortable working independently and using their own initiative.
  • A strong team player with a positive and approachable manner.
  • Tenacious and results-driven.
  • Numerate and literate with good administrative skills.
  • Experienced with SAP, ERP or MES systems – desirable.
  • Experienced within a manufacturing, logistics, warehouse or goods-in environment – advantageous.
  • Familiar with FLT operations – an FLT licence would be desirable.
