Are you an organised and detail-focused administrator with experience supporting senior leaders, boards or committees? Do you have exceptional minute-taking skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining complete confidentiality?

About the role

We now have an opportunity for a Governance Officer to play a vital role in supporting the effective delivery of corporate governance across the organisation. Working closely with the Governance Manager and leadership team, you will help ensure that board and committee activities run smoothly, providing high-quality administrative and governance support that contributes to the achievement of organisational objectives.

In this varied role, you will coordinate board, committee, executive and customer panel meetings, preparing agendas, reports and meeting papers, attending meetings, producing accurate minutes and managing action trackers. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure timely reporting and support board members and senior leaders in the effective discharge of their responsibilities. You will also assist with organising corporate events, maintaining governance records and registers, supporting data protection activities, and delivering internal communications to colleagues.

About you

We are looking for someone with proven experience providing high-level secretarial or administrative support to senior managers, directors, boards or committees. You will be highly proficient in Microsoft Office, confident in managing competing priorities and experienced in preparing meeting documentation and taking accurate minutes. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, discretion and a strong commitment to confidentiality and data protection. Experience within governance or the housing sector would be advantageous but is not essential.

To be successful, you will be proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused, with excellent organisational and communication skills. You will have a keen eye for detail, enjoy working independently and take pride in delivering a high-quality service. Above all, you will share our commitment to treating colleagues and customers with respect, honesty and understanding.

If you're looking for an opportunity to develop your governance career within a supportive and purpose-driven organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
