The role of the Graduate Civil Engineer:

• Assisting with flood risk assessments and drainage assessments
• Supporting the preparation of sustainable drainage (SuDS) strategies
• Assisting with the design and assessment of drainage infrastructure
• Preparing technical reports, calculations and supporting documentation
• Working on SuDS management and maintenance plans
• Liaising with clients, local authorities, water companies and other project stakeholders
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across water management, infrastructure design and transport planning

Requirements for the Graduate Civil Engineer role:

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline
• Some familiarity with drainage design software such as MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage
• Basic knowledge of hydrological or hydraulic modelling software, such as Flood Modeller or TUFLOW
• Relevant placement, internship or university project experience within civil engineering, drainage, flood risk or water management
• A full UK driving license
• The full right to work in the UK
• Live within a commutable distance to the Nottingham office
