Gold Education Recruitment is currently working with a welcoming secondary school in Ipswich, seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Cover Supervisor to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a future career in teaching to gain valuable classroom experience before embarking on teacher training. The role offers the chance to work closely with students and staff, develop classroom management skills, and gain first-hand experience of life in a secondary school environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher
• Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students remain on task
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Supporting students with their learning and encouraging positive engagement
• Assisting departments and teaching staff where required
• Building positive relationships with students and staff
• Providing feedback to teachers regarding lesson progress and student behaviour
• Contributing to the wider school community

What We're Looking For:

• A degree in any subject area
• An interest in pursuing a career in teaching or education
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence working with young people aged 11–16
• A positive, professional, and adaptable attitude
• Good organisational skills and the ability to think on your feet
• Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential
• Graduates and aspiring teachers are encouraged to apply
