Graduate Education Support Worker - Peterlee Area

Location: Peterlee Area
Hours: Monday 8:30am - 4:30pm | Tuesday to Thursday 8:30am - 4:00pm | Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm
Contract: Full-Time

We are currently recruiting graduates to support students within specialist educational settings across the Peterlee area.

The role is centred around helping students re-engage with learning, improve their confidence, and achieve positive educational outcomes.

• Providing classroom-based support
• Supporting students on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Helping pupils complete academic work
• Encouraging attendance and engagement
• Supporting students who may face barriers to learning
• Collaborating with teaching and support staff

We welcome applications from graduates in:

• Psychology
• Criminology
• Sociology
• Childhood Studies
• Sports Science
• Health & Social Care
• Education Studies
• English
• History
• Business
• Any other degree discipline

• Degree qualification
• GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above
• Genuine passion for supporting young people
• Professional and positive attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Previous school experience is not required. Full support and training will be provided, and many placements lead to permanent roles within schools.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
