A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Engineer to join a large and well-established engineering company based in Thetford.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Electrical or similar Engineering graduate looking to begin their career within a successful engineering environment.

Working alongside the Engineering and QSHE teams, you will gain valuable experience across technical documentation, engineering drawings, machinery compliance, legislation, standards and risk assessment. Full training and support will be provided.

The Role

As a Graduate Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Compiling and maintaining technical files for engineering equipment.

  • Working with the Engineering department to obtain drawings and technical information.

  • Reviewing engineering and General Arrangement drawings.

  • Using AutoCAD to make amendments to drawings and prepare technical documentation.

  • Researching technical information from suppliers and manufacturers.

  • Reviewing relevant engineering legislation and standards.

  • Assisting with machinery risk assessments and compliance documentation.

  • Identifying missing technical information and working with colleagues and suppliers to obtain it.

  • Maintaining accurate and organised technical records.

  • Occasionally visiting the company's workshops to gain practical knowledge of the equipment and manufacturing processes.

About You

We are looking for an engineering graduate who is keen to develop their technical knowledge and build a long-term career within engineering.

You will ideally have an engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Design or a related discipline.

You should have a genuine interest in engineering and machinery, be comfortable working with technical information and drawings, and have excellent attention to detail. Good IT skills and some knowledge of AutoCAD would be advantageous.

Previous engineering industry experience is not essential, but an engineering degree and genuine engineering background are essential.
