Graduate Mechanical Engineer

We're supporting a leading manufacturing business in their search for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their Engineering team at a large-scale process manufacturing site in Norwich. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineering graduate looking to build a long-term career within a complex and highly regulated industrial environment.

As part of a structured graduate development programme, you'll gain hands-on experience across mechanical integrity, asset reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, whilst working alongside experienced engineers and developing towards Chartered status.

Core Duties:

  • Supporting the integrity and compliance of pressure systems and critical plant equipment
  • Assisting with reliability improvement initiatives across site assets
  • Analysing inspection data to identify maintenance and performance improvement opportunities
  • Participating in root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions
  • Providing technical support to maintenance, operational, and project engineering activities
  • Working with suppliers, contractors, and specialist engineering partners
  • Supporting preventative maintenance planning and continuous improvement projects
  • Developing and improving engineering systems and procedures
About You:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles
  • Keen to work towards Chartered Engineer status
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Industrial placement, internship, or manufacturing experience would be advantageous
