The Role

As a Town Planner, you will be responsible for managing planning applications, providing strategic planning advice, and supporting clients through the planning process from inception to determination.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals
  • Conducting planning policy research and site appraisals
  • Producing planning statements and supporting reports
  • Liaising with local authorities, consultees, and stakeholders
  • Advising clients on planning risks and opportunities
  • Managing multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Supporting business development activities where appropriate


About You

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
  • MRTPI status or working towards chartership (preferred)
  • Previous experience within a planning consultancy, local authority, or developer environment
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning system
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
  • The ability to work independently while remaining a proactive team player
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
