Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Location - Wigan

Salary/Package - £28,000 - £35,000 + Excellent Benefits Package

With expertise spanning roofing, cladding, rainscreen systems, façades, waterproofing, and specialist construction services, they work with many of the UK's leading main contractors, developers, and public sector clients on complex new build and refurbishment projects.

Continued investment in their people and a healthy pipeline of secured work has created an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Graduate Quantity Surveyor to begin their commercial career within a supportive and experienced team.

As Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the commercial management of specialist roofing, cladding, and façade projects

• Supporting the preparation of subcontractor enquiries, procurement, and contract documentation

• Assisting with applications for payment, valuations, variations, and final accounts

• Producing quantity take-offs and assisting with cost reporting and CVRs

• Monitoring project costs and supporting budget management

• Working closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, and operational teams

• Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers

• Assisting with identifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunities

• Maintaining accurate commercial records and project documentation

• Developing your commercial knowledge through structured mentoring and on-the-job training

The successful Graduate Quantity Surveyor will have:

• A degree (or be due to graduate) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related construction discipline

• A genuine interest in pursuing a commercial career within the construction industry

• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and organisational abilities

• A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop

• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel

• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• A Full UK Driving Licence would be advantageous

• Competitive basic salary of £28,000 - £35,000
