Are you a recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in education, psychology, mental health, or child development?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Graduate Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Lambeth. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers, educational psychologists, therapists, social workers, or youth workers looking to build valuable school-based experience.
The Role As a Graduate Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to help them engage with learning, develop confidence, and reach their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting pupils with SEMH needs, Autism, and additional learning needs.
  • Providing 1:1 and small group interventions.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils to support their emotional wellbeing.
  • Assisting children who may face social, emotional, behavioural, or academic barriers.
  • Encouraging engagement and participation within the classroom.
  • Supporting teachers in creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • Helping pupils develop social skills, resilience, and independence.
The Ideal Candidate We are looking for graduates who are:
✅ Passionate about supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged children.
✅ Interested in careers in Teaching, Educational Psychology, Mental Health, Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, or Youth Work.
✅ Patient, resilient, and able to build strong relationships with young people.
✅ Confident working both independently and as part of a team.
✅ Experienced working with children or young people through schools, tutoring, coaching, youth work, mentoring, or voluntary work (desirable but not essential).
