The Role - Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a broad range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), ADHD, Speech & Communication Needs, SEMH, and associated learning difficulties.

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will become an important member of a dynamic and forward-thinking support team, working closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral staff to deliver personalised interventions. Using Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) to guide your practice, you will tailor your support to meet the individual needs of each pupil, helping them reach their full potential.

Ideal Candidate - Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Graduate (2:1 or above preferred, Psychology or related degree desirable)
  • Experience in SEN, care, support work, youth work, sports coaching, mentoring, or similar highly advantageous
  • Patient, resilient, and emotionally intelligent
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Passion for supporting children with additional needs and vulnerable learners
