A welcoming secondary school in Greenwich (Kidbrooke) is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate MFL Teaching Assistant to support students across French and Spanish. This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate considering a future career in teaching or teacher training.
The Role
- Support French and Spanish lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students
- Help develop students' vocabulary, grammar and speaking skills
- Support classroom activities and lesson preparation
- Encourage students' confidence and engagement with language learning
- Work alongside MFL teachers to support student progress
- Build positive relationships with students and staff
- 2:1 degree or above in French, Spanish, MFL or a related subject
- Strong communication skills in English and at least one target language
- Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Must hold a valid DBS or be able to provide evidence of an existing DBS
- Enthusiastic, patient and organised
- Passionate about supporting young people and education
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in teaching is desirable
- ASAP start
- Valuable secondary-school experience
- Support and mentorship from experienced teaching staff
- Excellent experience for graduates considering PGCE or teacher training
