Horizon Teachers is looking for enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistants to support secondary schools in Walthamstow and the surrounding area. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates considering a career in teaching, looking to build classroom experience before starting a PGCE or School Direct route.
The role:
- Graduate Teaching Assistant, secondary school setting
- Walthamstow and surrounding East London boroughs
- Day-to-day and ongoing placements available
- Supporting students across KS3 and KS4, including 1:1 and small group intervention
- Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience
- Holds a degree (2:1 or above preferred, though not essential)
- Genuinely interested in pursuing a career in education
- Confident supporting classroom teachers and working with young people
- Reliable, patient, and adaptable to different school environments
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
- A fantastic stepping stone into teaching, with real classroom experience
- Dedicated, responsive consultant support throughout your placement
