With schools returning for the September 2026 academic year, we are recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to work across a range of mainstream secondary schools.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the classroom, develop your skills and build valuable experience before progressing into teacher training or a career in education.
The RoleAs a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, working alongside experienced teachers and helping students to reach their potential.
You may be involved in:
- Supporting pupils in lessons and small-group activities
- Providing 1:1 support where required
- Helping teachers with classroom activities
- Supporting pupils with their learning and development
- Building positive relationships with students
- Gaining valuable experience of secondary school life
- Potentially supporting pupils with additional learning needs
- A degree or relevant qualification
- An interest in working with young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm, patience and a positive attitude
- Commitment to supporting pupils and education
- Previous experience with children is beneficial but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
