Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be representing an established and growing property consultancy that is looking to appoint a Graduate Town Planner to join its successful Northampton team. The Opportunity

You'll become part of a collaborative planning team working alongside experienced planners, surveyors, architects and other property professionals. The role offers exposure to a broad mix of projects across the residential, commercial and rural sectors, giving you the chance to develop a well-rounded planning career from day one. The consultancy places a strong emphasis on professional development and has an excellent track record of supporting graduates through their RTPI pathway.



Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
  • Supporting senior planners on a diverse range of planning projects.
  • Undertaking planning policy research and site appraisals.
  • Preparing planning statements and supporting reports.
  • Liaising with local planning authorities, clients and external consultants.
  • Attending client meetings and site visits.
  • Assisting with planning appeals and wider development projects.


About You

  • RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and research abilities.
  • A genuine passion for planning and the built environment.
  • Organised, proactive and eager to learn.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
