Graduate Town Planner responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications.
• Supporting planning assessments, research and development appraisals.
• Undertaking policy research and reviewing local and national planning policy.
• Assisting with planning statements, reports and supporting documentation.
• Liaising with clients, local planning authorities and other consultants.
• Supporting senior planners with a range of strategic and development planning projects.
• Attending meetings, site visits and planning consultations where appropriate.
• Keeping up to date with changes to planning legislation, policy and guidance.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across planning, development, architecture and other professional disciplines.

Requirements for the Graduate Town Planner role will include:

• A RTPI-accredited degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
• A genuine interest in planning and the built environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good research, analytical and organisational abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning.
• A full UK driving licence would be advantageous due to the potential for site visits.
