Our client is looking for a motivated and ambitious Graduate Transport Planner to join their growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of residential, commercial, education, healthcare, and mixed-use developments, supporting projects from initial feasibility through to planning and delivery.
You'll work alongside experienced transport planners and engineers, gaining hands-on experience while developing the technical and professional skills needed to build a successful career in transport planning.
The Role
As a Graduate Transport Planner, you will:
- Assist in preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
- Support the production of technical reports and planning documentation.
- Analyse traffic and transport data using industry-standard software.
- Contribute to junction capacity assessments and traffic modelling.
- Assist with site appraisals and transport feasibility studies.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Support senior team members in delivering projects on time and to a high standard.
- Develop an understanding of UK transport planning policy and guidance.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Educated to degree level in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, Urban Planning or a related discipline.
- Passionate about transport, sustainable travel and infrastructure.
- A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills.
- Analytical with good problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working with data and Microsoft Office applications.
- Eager to learn and develop within a collaborative environment.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and work effectively as part of a team.
A full UK driving licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
