Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading engineering and manufacturing business to recruit a Bench Dresser to join their team in Irvine.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to join a well-established organisation, working with high-quality components in a precision engineering environment.

As a Bench Dresser, you will be responsible for carrying out dressing and finishing operations on engineered components, ensuring products meet the highest quality standards before progressing through the manufacturing process.

• Carry out bench dressing and finishing operations on manufactured components
• Interpret route sheets and follow quality procedures
• Perform basic grinding operations using abrasive wheels
• Use gauges and measuring equipment to inspect components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and geometric tolerances
• Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and workmanship
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures at all times
• Carry out routine maintenance and care of equipment and tools
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area

• Previous experience in a Bench Dresser, Fettler, Grinder, Deburrer, or similar engineering role
• Minimum 3 years' experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
• Experience using hand tools, air tools, and measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work
• Engineering apprenticeship desirable but not essential
