FETTLER / METAL FINISHER – IMMEDIATE START

We are currently looking for an experienced Fettler / Metal Finisher to join a busy manufacturing environment working Nights. 

The Role:

• Fettling and finishing fabricated metal components
• Grinding and dressing welds
• Removing excess material, weld spatter and sharp edges
• Using angle grinders, die grinders and other hand tools
• Preparing components for painting, blasting or the next stage of production
• Inspecting finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
• Working from drawings and job specifications where required
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area
• Working to production targets and deadlines

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Fettler, Metal Finisher, Fabricator or Welder
• Confident using grinders and workshop hand tools
• Good attention to detail
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Experience working with mild steel or fabricated components is advantageous
