Ground Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Ground Worker to support our construction and landscaping projects. The work will involve working across the UK with 50% of your time staying away. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with site preparation, groundwork, and general labour tasks. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within the construction industry while contributing to safe and efficient project execution.

This is a temporary to permanent role, you will ideally be CIS registered and have your own tools / transport.

Responsibilities

• Dig trenches, holes, and foundations using hand tools or machinery under supervision
• Lay foundations, pavements, or other groundwork as directed by supervisors
• Operate basic tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Support team members with material handling and organisation of supplies on-site
• Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a secure working environment
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency

Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or similar manual labour roles is advantageous but not essential
• Experience of reading plans, form work and general groundworks is essential
• Full UK driving license
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
• Good organisational skills with attention to detail
• Willingness to learn new skills and adhere to safety protocols
• Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions accurately
