Location: Melksham
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Operative to join the team in Melksham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in grounds maintenance who is looking for a full-time, long-term position, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of general grounds maintenance duties, ensuring outdoor areas are maintained to a high standard.

Duties may include:

• Grass cutting and strimming

• Hedge trimming and pruning

• Weeding and general landscaping duties

• Maintaining gardens, green spaces and communal areas

• Using grounds maintenance machinery and equipment

• General upkeep and maintenance of outdoor areas

• Working as part of a team to ensure work is completed to a high standard

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong previous experience in grounds maintenance

• A full UK Driving Licence – essential

• Experience using grounds maintenance machinery and equipment

• A good understanding of general grounds maintenance practices

• A reliable and hardworking attitude

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good attention to detail and pride in their work
