Grounds Maintenance Team Leader

Location: Enfield, North London

Salary: £35,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (Team members are required to arrive at the yard for 7:00am each day.)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Leader to join a well-established grounds maintenance contractor based in Enfield.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to grounds maintenance, looking to join a professional and growing team.

As a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader, you will lead a team of two operatives, carrying out grounds maintenance across a variety of sites, including:

• Commercial properties

• Residential flats

• Schools

• Large housing estates

You will be responsible for ensuring all work is completed to a high standard while maintaining excellent health and safety practices.

• Leading and supervising a two-person grounds maintenance team.

• Driving the company vehicle between sites.

• Grass cutting, strimming, hedge trimming, and pruning.

• Weed control and general horticultural maintenance.

• Ensuring work is completed efficiently and to specification.

• Carrying out daily vehicle and equipment checks.

• Maintaining high standards of health and safety.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Previous experience in grounds maintenance.

• Experience leading or supervising a team.

• A full UK driving licence (essential).

• PA1 and PA6 certificates are desirable but not essential.

• Good communication and organisational skills.

• A reliable and proactive approach to work.

• The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

• Salary of £35,000 per annum.

• Monday to Friday working pattern - no regular weekends.

• Full-time, permanent position.
