Grounds Maintenance Operative / Gardener

Locations: Coventry, Birmingham and Worcester - one vacancy in each area
Pay: £16-£18 per hour
Contract: Ongoing temporary
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-3:30pm; Friday, 7:30am-3:00pm

Think Recruitment are recruiting a Grounds Maintenance Operative / Gardener for each of the three locations above, maintaining estates, communal grounds and landscaped areas.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative / Gardener, your duties will include:

• Cut grass and maintain lawns to a high standard.

• Trim, shape and reduce hedges and bushes.

• Use strimmers and powered equipment to maintain borders and edges.

• Carry out weed control using approved methods.

• Complete shrub pruning, seasonal planting and general landscape maintenance.

• Safely remove and dispose of green waste.

• Undertake litter picking and keep communal areas clean and tidy.

• Maintain paved and slabbed areas through sweeping, weed treatment and light repairs.

• Operate equipment safely and follow health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

To be considered for this Grounds Maintenance Operative / Gardener position, you must have:

• Previous grounds maintenance or gardening experience.

• A full UK driving licence and the ability to drive a manual company vehicle.

• A reliable approach and pride in your work.

• Willingness to complete a Basic DBS check.

Desirable:

• PA1 and PA6 spraying qualifications.

• Banksman training.

• Ability to drive with a trailer.
